Principia

Principia is a single derivation, carried without shortcut from being to mind. It asks the oldest question and refuses the usual evasions: not to describe reality but to derive it — to show that the world is not one way among many, but the only way that does not contradict itself.

It begins from one claim — being is self-grounding tension — and admits nothing it cannot force. Each step is compelled the way existence is compelled: by the incoherence of its alternative. Every part closes with what it has established and, in equal honesty, with what it has not.

Principia is the keystone of Corollaria — the first stone of a library that will grow around it.

The later parts exist and are released in their own time. Transcendentia closes the work.

Aram Méndez works outside the academy. His preoccupation is older than any profession — consciousness, and the reality that must lie beneath it — and Principia is his attempt to articulate what has gone unarticulated: not a theory about reality, but reality stating that it is. He is troubled less by why the work exists than by why it did not exist sooner; its claims are simple, and for that reason profound.
